The Gray Lady loves her double-blue

We'd have been surprised enough to open the New York Times over the weekend and find a story on a CFL player. But coverage of a CFL fan? That's one we really didn't see coming.

We have no idea what Manhattanites made of this. But naturally, we love it. For one thing - hey, it's the CFL in the New York friggin' Times, and this time it doesn't involve R. Jay Soward explaining all the trouble he'd been getting into if the Argos didn't employ him (although we loved that story as well). But mostly, it's nice to see Lori Bursey getting some glory for all the quiet work she does on behalf of other Argos fans.

Personally, we're just glad she arranges group outings to Argos games at Ivor Wynne, since it means we no longer sit in isolation with bottles being chucked at our heads (strength in numbers and all). But we know she does lots of other good works as well. And we're totally hitting that corn roast this year.
